Timloc Plug-In to an Electric Fleet

Date Posted: 31st March 2021

In a continued effort towards zero-carbon, we are pleased to introduce the first all-electric car to the Timloc Building Products company car fleet.

The new MINI Electric BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle) emits zero exhaust emissions for a far cleaner, greener drive compared to traditional petrol/diesel cars.

At Timloc, we are already committed to leading a positive change in the industry, with 75% of our product range now manufactured from recycled materials and, as of January 2021, we became the first building products company in the UK to have 100% of electricity generated from renewable energy sources. This is in addition to having 100% of our waste materials diverted from landfill and 100% of our packaging being recyclable.

The emissions from traditional petrol/diesel cars contribute towards greenhouse gases and the acceleration of climate change. The introduction of an electric car is a further positive action towards Timloc becoming a zero-carbon company.

Kirsty Harrop, Marketing Manager at Timloc Building Products, commented on the constructive steps the company has made thus far:

“In recent years, we have made a concerted effort to reduce our environmental impact. The introduction of a BEV vehicle is another step towards delivering a sustainable future for the building products industry and we are proud to be leading the way.”
