Timloc Named as CO2nstruct Zero Business Champion

Date Posted: 06th April 2022

Timloc Building Products, part of Alumasc Group plc, has been announced as a Zero Carbon Business Champion in the latest round of assessments by the Construction Leadership Council (CLC).

The CO2nstruct Zero initiative brings together organisations that are leading the way in carbon reduction, sharing their best practices with others in the UK construction industry to help drive collective action.

Timloc Building Products manufacture and supply sustainable building products designed to be integrated into the fabric of a building from ground level right up to the roof ridge. The manufacturer has made a concerted effort towards sustainability over recent years and in September 2021 became the first building products manufacturer in the UK to achieve a carbon neutral status. The manufacturer has accomplished significant objectives on its journey to carbon neutrality:

  • 100% of electricity used is generated from renewable energy sources
  • 100% of product packaging is recyclable
  • 100% of waste is diverted from landfill
  • 75% of products in the Timloc range are manufactured from recycled materials

Kirsty Harrop, Marketing Manager at Timloc Building Products, said:

‘Becoming a CO2nstruct Zero Business Champion is a considerable achievement for Timloc Building Products. As a team, we want to continue to lead the way in delivering a sustainable future for the housebuilding industry and to help others achieve net zero.’

Timloc Building Products is part of Alumasc Group Plc, a UK-based supplier of sustainable building products systems, and solutions, with business segments in housebuilding products, building envelope and water management. The Alumasc Group has recently been awarded the LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group) Green Economy mark. The Mark is given to companies and funds that derive more than 50% of revenues from environmental solutions.
