Suffolk Prickles Hedgehog Rescue, a dedicated registered charity committed to the conservation and preservation of hedgehogs, has recently received a generous donation of £200 worth of food and essentials from Hedgehog Highway by Timloc Building Products.
This donation aims to enhance the care and rehabilitation of sick, injured, or orphaned hedgehogs, furthering the mission of both organisations to protect and preserve these beloved creatures.
The purpose of Suffolk Prickles Hedgehog Rescue is to provide a rescue, care, and rehabilitation service for hedgehogs in need, with the ultimate goal of releasing them back into the wild.
Founded in October 2010, despite operating as a ‘part-time’ rescue, Suffolk Prickles Hedgehog Rescue successfully treats approximately 300 hedgehogs per year. On arrival, each hedgehog is assessed by a member of the rescue team and stabilised before further treatment is administered.
Commented Paula Baker, Chair of Trustees, Suffolk Prickles Hedgehog Rescue:
“We are incredibly grateful for the generous donation from Hedgehog Highway by Timloc. This donation will significantly contribute to our efforts in providing essential care for hedgehogs during their time with us, ensuring they receive the support needed for a successful return to their natural habitat.”
In addition to their donation of food and essentials, Hedgehog Highway by Timloc offers a solution to support hedgehog conservation efforts. The highway is designed to connect gardens, allowing hedgehogs to roam freely and forage for food, water and shelter without restriction. Available in a range of colours and in single or multi pack quantities. Each purchase of a Hedgehog Highway by Timloc contributes to donations to hedgehog charities nationwide.
Paula continued:
“The Hedgehog Highway by Timloc is a wonderful initiative that aligns perfectly with our mission. Not only does it promote the creation of safe passage for hedgehogs, but it also ensures that a portion of each sale is dedicated to supporting hedgehog welfare initiatives across the country like ourselves which is invaluable.”
