Team Timloc participated in the Tiny Tickers 125 Challenge throughout October to help raise funds and awareness for the charity.
Various members of the team at Timloc Building Products, part of the Alumasc Group plc, each walked, ran and/or cycled 125km in the month of October and raised a fantastic cumulative total of £1,075 for the charity.
Tiny Tickers is a charity dedicated to improving the lives of babies born with serious heart conditions by ensuring they receive early and appropriate treatment. Their mission is to maximize the chances of survival and provide these infants with a high quality of life.
In the UK, 1 in every 125 babies is born with a serious heart condition. To raise awareness, Tiny Tickers created the 125 Challenge.
Commented Scott Hutton, Production Manager at Timloc Building Products:
“Undoubtedly, the challenge was made tougher by the dark nights and wet weather. Nevertheless, the unwavering team motivation propelled everyone to achieve their distances. The immense generosity of people who contributed is deeply appreciated, and I extend my heartfelt thanks to all who donated.”
Chris Warrillow, Financial Controller at Timloc Building Products, also commented:
“For me, participating in the 125 Challenge has not only been a fulfilling fundraising campaign, it has also reignited my passion for cycling and steadily enhanced my fitness levels. Motivated to push my limits for the charity, I committed to cycling 125km every week throughout the month. Even though the challenge has concluded, I will continue cycling over the winter, with the gratification amplified by the knowledge that the funds raised contribute to such a fantastic cause.”
Jon Arnold, CEO of Tiny Tickers commented:
“We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Timloc Building Products team members who participated in the 125 Challenge and to everyone who generously contributed to the funds raised. Your support will play a pivotal role in offering a brighter beginning for tiny hearts, enhancing the early detection, care, and treatment for infants with significant heart conditions.”
