Timloc achieves registration to ISO 14001

09 April 2010

Timloc has now achieved registration to ISO 14001:2004 following the assessment of its Environmental Management Systems by BSI.

Timloc's own Environmental Policy has operated for many years whereby the majority of products are manufactured from recycled materials, while waste both from plastic raw materials inputs and outputs, and other sources such as paper, cardboard, shrinkwrap, timber, lead, office and other consumables is all recycled. In addition we have pursued rigorous initiatives, and with significant investment, for continuous improvement in energy efficiency, minimizing other resources and reducing our environmental impacts. As a UK manufacturer our basic supply chain route to market also contributes to the wider minimization of our carbon footprint.

ISO 14001 now formalises this policy through a management system which is approved to the highest standards of best practice, and also subject to a formal ongoing process of third party assessment and audit, which in itself imposes the obligation to seek and achieve continuous improvement in environmental practice and performance.

This achievement follows on closely from the upgrading of Timloc’s formal Quality Standard to the latest ISO 9001:2008 higher level certification. Timloc has been approved and inspected under a formal quality system since 1989, assessing not only product quality, but service performance and customer satisfaction, and similarly the ability to demonstrate continuous improvement in these respects also.

These latest certifications confirm Timloc’s position as a leading supplier in its sector, meeting the needs of its customers to the highest standards and also the commitment to its responsibilities to the wider community.
